FAMILY RESOURCE PROGRAM

Celebrating National Family Caregivers Month at our Nov. 19 Caregivers luncheon.

We had an excellent meal from Brooklyn's Cornbread: Farm to Soul, pies thanks to Grimaldi & Yeung LLP, followed by musical guest and guitarist Seth Okrend. Thanks to PSS Circle of Care and Medge Adams for hosting.

If you are a caregiver for someone affected by memory loss, you may feel overwhelmed, frustrated, isolated, and worried.

The New York Memory Center is here to help! Your feelings are real and valid. Our Family Resource Program offers comprehensive caregiver support services to guide you on your caregiving journey. This program is available all NYMC members and their families at no additional cost.

NYMC has a social worker on staff to help with a range of concerns, including care coaching and supportive guidance for someone affected by memory loss, assistance applying for benefits and entitlements, information and referral to community organizations for support groups, elder law needs, short-term respite grants, and more. From time to time, NYMC hosts educational programs on a diverse range of topics of interest.

For more information about the Family Resource Program, please contact us at 718.499.7701 or NYMC@nymemorycenter.org.

We also work closely with several community nonprofit organizations, including Heights and Hills, Sunnyside Community Services, PSS Circle of Care, Caring Kind, and Alzheimer's Association NYC Chapter. Visit the links below for more information about their programs and services.
