Prospect Park Walking Tour
Saturday, June 3, 2023
THANKS to Cindy and Turnstile Tours and the Prospect Park Alliance for a most interesting walk in the beauty of Prospect Park and to places most of us had not visited before. We stopped at Concert Grove and found a bird nest tucked into the ceiling of the pavilion. We learned about the pavilion's history and then made another stop at the Abraham Lincoln statue nearby. Our walk also took us to the Camperdown Elm, which has been in the park since 1872!

Green-Wood Cemetery
What a beautiful walk we had at Green-Wood on Sunday for our first Nature Walk for Neighbors with Dementia. The morning rain cleared out into a beautiful afternoon for a stroll in nature. Our guide, Ari, was terrific and introduced us to some of the amazing trees at Green-Wood, including a taste of redbud blossoms. We wandered beautiful paths and saw some wildlife too.
